To create a new portal on DotNetNuke:

  1. Logon to your DNS provider and point your domain name to your DotNetNuke Webhosting site.
  2. Logon to your webhosting management panel and add a domain alias for your domain name on the DotNetNuke website.
  3. Logon to your DotNetNuke webhosting website, go to Host, Portal and click Add a New Portal.
  4. For Portal Alias put www.yourdomain.com.
  5. Click Customize next to Home Directory and enter: w/wxxx/gainesvilledance_com

DotNetNuke will store files under the Portals directory using a number for each portal's root folder. I prefer to have my portals under a folder with the name of the portal, like this

      w/wxxxx/domainname_come

where "xxxx" is an account code. So if a customer has multiple websites, they will all be under that customer's account code.
  6. For Username, use the domain name.
