To have a shorter URL in the address bar for Articles, go into Admin Options, Main Options, SEO.

For URL Mode check the Shortened box. This will remove some of the extra junk in the url.

Another nice trick to get more keywords in the address bar is to change the Shorterned Article ID from ID to your favorite keywords. So if your website is selling bananas, change ID to bananas.
